The OutLock II terminal was created with the
intention of satisfying the needs of a market composed of a large
number of small size companies.
Earlier, we observed that even though those companies had the need
for a time and attendance control system, they did not have the
finantial means to fulfil this aspiration.
The terminals of the OutLock brand came to answer to that need,
offering the same functional capacity of other more expendable
time and access control terminals, but at a much lesser cost.
In contrast with its small size, its high
storage capacity enables it to authenticate a large number of
cards,
being this an indispensable quality for access control. Along with
the authentication by card number, this terminal also enables the
assignment of highly complex access schedules to the users.
It has also the ability to store clockings (punches), thus being
able to be used in time and attendance and guard tour control systems.
The connection to the computer can be made through an Ethernet
10Base-T network with the TCP/IP protocol installed, or by using
RS485 serial communication.
The terminals from this series come
usually equipped with RFID proximity cards,
but magnetic band cards or barcode
readers can also be installed.
Neither the electronic door opening nor the siren
activation are performed through electromechanic components, which
increases the terminal's durability.
